Frankenstein: A Modern Myth will be screening as part of Open City Docs Fest at the Darwin Theatre in London this Friday at 2:00 p.m and the lovely people at Open City Docs have offered us two pairs of tickets as competition prizes.
To win send an e-mail to contact@benedictcumberbatch.co.uk (headed Frankenstein) with the answer to this simple question:
Which band, who most famously collaborated with Danny Boyle on the Trainspotting soundtrack, wrote the score to the NT’s production of Frankenstein?
Winner will be picked by random draw. As the screening is on Friday the competition will close at 4:00 p.m. tomorrow so do get your entries in quickly!
The documentary is meant to be screened on Channel 4 but as transmission has been delayed now by almost a year and as there is still no fixed air date this is a rare (and possibly only?) chance to see the documentary so do come along.
Here’s some further information about the documentary and the festival:

So sognare e sperare e spesso soffro! Davvero unica! Diversa delle altre… In fondo me stessa so quello che valgo! E’ bellissimo perchè abito in montagna… Sono troppo teneri e carini come me =)

wildcat2030:

On May 24th, Gary Connery, a 42 year old stuntman from Oxfordshire, England jumped from a helicopter hovering over one mile in the air over southern England, and glided to the earth using a specially designed wing suit. His runway was comprised of a cobbled-up crash-pad fabricated from 18,000 cardboard boxes to soften the impact. With this record-setting jump, Gary became the first skydiver to land without using a parachute. While others have survived through some fluke of nature, he was the first one to plan it from the start. We live in a world obsessed with accomplishments, and more specifically, obsessed with being FIRST. Few of us remember the 2nd person to set foot on the moon, or the 2nd person to invent the airplane, or the 2nd one to run a mile in under 4 minutes. So given this almost fanatical pursuit to become the “first” at something, what exactly are some of the big accomplishments still waiting to be claimed that will land someone in the history books? Here are a few that come to mind. (via 56 Future Accomplishments that are Waiting for Someone to go First | World Future Society)
